Welcome to Cafe de L'amour our  fabulous French Cafe in our part of the world.... the little country village of Darling, West Coast, Western Cape South Africa.

Cafe de L'amour a new  venture "Cafe-Gifts and Vintage Collectibles." has  recently opened to the public.  It promises to be the most cozy of all coffee shops in Darling. Spend tranquil moments watching passers by,  lazing on the veranda, and you will feel like you have gone to a small side walk cafe in France.

Our aim is to supply not only the locals but all who visit with somewhere different to go as well as  cost effective gifts with in the village. Our trade will be mostly people passing by on their way to something.  Pop in have a cuppa a slice of cake and just enjoy the ambiance of the cafe.  Purchase something to take home to cherish or a little gift for a friend or loved one.

Our desire is to offer something unique for everyone. Our pleasure may become your treasure. For those who visit us on a more frequent basis, we hope to have something new each time you visit.

Review

"I absolutely loved visiting Darling. There is so much to see and do in this quaint little town, surrounded by natures splendor and beautiful things, some stunning  vineyards within walking distance of our little B & B.

Cafe de L'amour recently opened .... a little foot print from the stunning B & B Maison de L'amour where we've stayed on a couple of occasions just 100m down the road from this delightful little Cafe, Vintage and Gift collectible shop.

Just walking through the doors gives you an immediate feeling of being transported to a bygone era,  a tiny French Cafe somewhere in a small village in France. Delectable cakes and tasty little treats are the order of the day, not to mention the best coffee in town.

Cafe de L'amour combines three of my favorite things: exquisite pretty decor, vintage collectibles and lovely gift items.

Nina and Derek Poole, a fabulously entertaining husband and wife team, have definitely put their loving stamp on this little gem of a Cafe, and their B & B, Maison de L'amour meaning House of love, and believe me this house has been designed and  furnished with every little detail and loads of love!! Every subtle nuance seems to have been considered.

An absolute must if you have not been there. We love it!! and it is well worth a little visit when next in Darling."
